PETALING JAYA: Acting Selangor Opposition Leader Datuk Satim Diman said Barisan Nasional will still go ahead with its plans to boycott the State Assembly emergency sitting to amend the State constitution to return

the power of appointment of the State Secretary to the Sultan.

Sat im was commenting on reports quoting BN Kuang assemblyman and BN Selangor information chief Abdul Shukor Idris as saying BN representatives would support the State government's plan to amend the constitution.

"Shukor has every right to decide whether the BN representatives support the amendment. I do believe that

the Sultan has the right and authority to appoint the State Secretary and I don't deny it," Satim told The Malay Mail.

Satim also called Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim and Pakatan Rakyat (PR) liars, saying the Sultan has no right to appoint the State Secretary.

"Once again the Sultan has every right to appoint the State Secretary."

Yesterday Satim told The Paper That Cares he would make sure none of his BN comrades voted in favour of PR and to show their dissatisfaction over the State government's move, BN assemblymen would not attend the emergency sitting altogether.

The power to appoint the State’s top civil servants was stripped from the Sultan in 1993 during the royalty Constitutional crisis.

Sebenarnya tindakan Pakatan ingin meminda perlembagaan atas isu perlantikan pegawai kanan negeri hanyalah sebenarnya untuk kepentingan diri mereka. Ini kerana, jika benar mereka sedar akan ia penting untuk Negeri, sudah pasti sudah lama Pakatan ubah, kenapa bila Datuk Khusrin yang sudah mendapat perkenan Sultan Selangor dilantik, baru Khalid terhegeh-hegeh nak pinda perlembagaan. Bahkan Khalid akui yang perlantikan itu sah, kenapa masih mahu pinda?

Khalid juga perlukan persetujuan 2/3 ahli DUN Selangor untuk meminda perlembagaan negeri, sedangkan Pakatan Haram tidak mempunyai jumlah tersebut. Yang Khalid kata, dia yakin bahawa ada wakil rakyat BN akan sokong, yakin berdasarkan apa?Inikah dia Menteri Besar yang disanjung-sanjung Pakatan? Bertindak tanpa perancangan, hanya ikut sesedap rasa? Macam ni ke tokoh koporat? main balun je ikut nafsu...khalid kalau nampak Eli mulala meraban ntah tengok mana...!!!
